Napa Valley California Landscape

Having lived and painted in the Bay Area, a son Shane who graduated from Berkeley, and currently having close family residing in Northern California, I have visited and photographed the vineyards of the gently rolling hills in the Napa Sonoma Valley. I noticed particularly around sunset the fading light created exquisite jewel toned hues perfect for a serene landscape series!

Adding a textured background to the hardwood panels I am able to depict the meadows, vineyards, and distant lavender foothills. Utilizing varnished gold leaf on the setting sun and highlighting the foreground, a 'California' atmosphere is created. This series is available in both warm and cool palettes to enhance both your interior and exterior settings.
