Asian Fusion Collection

When I lived and had an art-based business in Hawaii, in the 1970’s, I became acquainted with far eastern symbols and colors. This evolved into the ‘Asian Fusion’ series of collage fine art paintings. The composition includes significant symbols centered around feng shui, and a bamboo theme.

 Ancient Korean coins, Chinese Confucius writings, and cultural Japanese cherry blossoms and porcelain symbols are incorporated into the art. This collage is painted on hand made art paper or canvas adhered to hardwood panels.

Embellishing the finished art work are hammered copper spirals, ceramic fired pieces, dichroic art glass and patinaed brass coins collected while I was in Thailand and the far East. This highly successful series has also been licensed to an international clothing brand Jams World based in the Hawaiian Islands in a limited edition production.
